Summers Farm, a staple in Frederick County’s farm events during the Fall, is celebrating its 20th year in agri-tourism.
Owner Teresa Summers Greenwood opened the first agri-tourism event as a way to stay involved in the family farm. Summers Farm has been in Teresa’s family since 1934 when her grandparents purchased the farm where they milked Guernsey Cows until Teresa was in college. Teresa and her husband Jeff operate the farm located in the City of Frederick along with their sons Carson and Landon and the Fall Fest and agri-tourism operation are major pieces of this family farm. The widely popular Fall Harvest Festival attracts thousands looking for wholesome fun for the entire family.
Visitors may find a 15-acre pumpkin patch, slides, animals, jumping pillows, hay rides, apple blaster, obstacle course and a 12-acre corn maze. Stop by and visit the Summers Family as they open for the Fall season on September 24th through October 31st. Hours of operation are Monday thru Thursdays 1-7pm, Fridays 1-4pm, Saturdays 10am-10:30pm, and Sundays 10am-7pm.
