Amber Beachley, 36, is part owner/operator of Moo Cow Creamery at Walnut Ridge Farm and named one of Frederick County’s Top Young Ag Professionals. Born and raised on the family dairy farm in Middletown as a ninth-generation farmer, agriculture has always been in her blood. Her love and devotion to the industry began while feeding animals at a young age and only grew as she acquired more responsibilities on the farm
Mary Kathryn Barnet (MK), 38, and Andrew Barnet, 36, are the owners of Open Book Farm in Middletown and are both named to Frederick County’s Top Young Ag Professionals. Neither MK nor Andrew grew up on a farm or with a background in agriculture, making their story unique.
Melissa Aellen, 31, is a Winemaker and the Director of Operational Change at Linganore Winecellars and is named as one of Frederick County’s Top Young Ag Professionals. Growing up working on her family’s farm winery instilled a passion in her to help carry on the family legacy.
